Rug! I'm sure you can find another fabulous dress for less or maybe even one in your closet. What world of difference will a dress make in the long run in comparison to a rug in which you will get daily use of.
This dress is beautiful, because I LOVE green, but you should definitely buy the rug!

gorgeous dress, but i vote rug. as a gal who purchased THE perfect sapphire blue new year's eve dress a few years ago, i'm STILL hoping for ways to get more than 2 wears out of it (with not much luck). the rug will bring prettiness every day :)

I adore the dress, but vote for the rug. You had success with Rent the Runway before; you could go that route again. Or just wear something you already have. The rug will make you happy every day.
I vote rug. The dress would bring lots of joy once or twice, but the rug will bring happiness for a long time.
I really like the rug. Its perfect for the coming months and the texture looks wonderful! Perhaps have a trip round the vintage shops? There might be a dress in a similar style but at a price that allows you to have both!
THE RUG!!
I always, always, always choose home decor over clothes. Sure, j.crew is fab...BUT you can only wear that dress a few times ~ you will get to enjoy that rug every time you walk in the dining room!
TOUGH decision. both are fabulous...but the rug is extra fab and i think you'll enjoy it more than a dress that will sit in your closet after your holiday party <3
That dress is amazing! However, rug you will have forever and you can find a cheaper dress somewhere that you will love as much. Although, I really want to say both!

I say the rug! Usually I go for the clothing, but this rug is so practical and chic, and you will get so much use out of it! You can't go wrong either way though...I love this series!
I have been drooling over this dress for weeks and this week it is 25% off!!!! It's a sign Alaina.
Rug will be such a better long term investment!
