I'm a big fan of the dramatic look of having a single photo blown-up and framed, instead of the standard oversized oil painting or gallery wall. I want to do something similar above my living room couch and move my three
European letterpress prints above the bar in my dining room. There's not a doubt in my mind that I should go with the work of my favorite photographer,
Alicia Bock, but I can't decide in which direction to go. Here's what I'm thinking...

I mean, it's Paris. We all know how I feel about this city.
or
It's pink AND yellow (my two favorite colors), bold, bright, happy, fun, and unexpected! Which is what I am trying to do more of in my home this year. Hence I photoshopped in two
pink Greek key pillows from Design Darling's new online shop.
So what do you think: Paris Rooftops or Jellyfish?

I love the jellyfish print, but maybe it's a little too much for a large photo? I feel like I can't see anything else in the room besides that.

I vote for the jellies! Completely unexpected, visually interesting and less trendy. (I do like both options though...)
I vote Jellyfish! Love the pop of colour, it's unexpected and fun. Works well with the greek key pillows too.

Love the jellies, but I think it's a bit much for such a large print. Although maybe you're bolder than I am! My vote would be for Paris for sure. I love Alicia Bock too, and I think it's gorgeous.

Love them both so much! The Paris piece is much more subtle, while the jellyfish adds a wonderfully fun pop of color. Follow your heart. ;-)

I think the rooftops are more neutral and therefore better. Maybe the decoration on the couch or in general changes over time so that the dominant pink from the jellyfish isn't fitting anymore.
Paris! Definitely looks better with overall design, plus you can pull more colors from it later if you want to change it up!!
Well I'm loving the Paris myself, but with the pink pillows the jellyfish look fab!
They both look great, and the jellies are certainly unexpected... I think for me it would come down to price. If this is a big investment piece, I'd go more traditional (read: Paris Rooftops)... if this is something you'll be able to swap out as the mood strikes in 6-12 months... go big or go home... go jellies!!
Hard call.... I think I'd go with the Paris rooftops.
I would be less likely to tire of the Paris Rooftops, and I think it enhances your space so well. BUT I see why you are intrigued by the jelly. Flip a coin and if your disappointed with the result-you know you should get the other one ;). Beautiful, beautiful photos. I've been thinking about buying new art/more all day. It's such an investment.
I would totally do the jelly. Love the colors and think it's a bit quirky.
Paris and when you visit you can change with a picture that you take...I also do this but with my own art, although I sometimes have trouble finding the ideal perspective of a room to add my art to...so thanks fot the link from where you found this rooms!!
I think the first one ties very well with your apartment, and the whole look of it. On the other hand, the pink one is a great option to bring some fun and color into your living room ;)
So....I guess I like them both!

I probably have to vote for Paris, but I have a theory. Here it is.
The Everygirl needs to go to Paris. The Everygirl will NOT swim with jellyfish. So -- if you want to bring jellyfish into your home, this is the only way it's going to happen.
Unless you're planning an under the sea adventure without me.
Let's just go to Paris, ok?
Love giant photos behind a couch! Sometimes even two giant frames with a photo cut in half.
I would vote for the Paris photo (gives the space a bit more of a mature feel) but I would combine it with the colorful pillows.

PARIS! They are both such great photos and each one has such a unique and beautiful quality in its own way... the jellyfish is bright and quirky, but the Paris one is so timeless. In my humble opinion :)
My vote is for Paris rooftops! The jellyfish print is gorgeous, but a bit much blown up I'm afraid. I do love the greek pillows though! :)
Paris Rooftops, no question! Classic & Timeless. I feel like I'd want to change the jellyfish sooner than later.

I don't know if you bought it already, but I would say Paris- just because I don't think the Jelly has enough detail. As a photographer and someone who loves art work all around mee, I have found that if it doesn't have enough detail to engage mee for a period of time (as in every time I walk by I see something new-) my imagination feels uninspired and I feel like I need a new picture or art work shortly after I just got the new one!
But you know yourself more than us, so do what makes your heart jump and allows for you to giggle and squeel when you pass it by.
I have a Q: about how did you get that book stack to STAY standing and not fall over? I SOOO want to try this but am curious to see if you have any comments or suggestions on how to keep it standing. And one more, I know super curious, where or what is that lamp called? I want to find it online.

jelly#3! paris rooftops is stunning, albeit a bit cold/industrial looking.. i'd save it for your 50s. you're in your 20s! you want something fun that bursts with colour and uniqueness, and i'll bet those jellies will inspire many a spirited conversation :)
